Michael Lordly

An industry veteran, Michael’s passion for design and the user experience provides guiding vision and focus for a customer-centric, goal-driven approach to Internet and application development.

He draws on his architectural experience gained in Vancouver, Toronto, Vienna and Tokyo to fuse design and technology with a keen awareness of user needs in the creation of superior online solutions. As design associate with Shore Tilbe Irwin Architects, he honed his skills in identifying and synthesizing business requirements, user needs, and economic and regulatory constraints into effective, award winning built environments. Now, as an architect of information, he has been at the leading edge of Internet-mediated information design since his pioneering work on the highly acclaimed Sympatico HealthyWay consumer health portal.

Michael is drawn to projects with unique or challenging scenarios, whether a public facing website, online application or handheld app, that require a deep understanding of the end user, information flow, process, and overall business and strategic goals. Playing the architect’s role of integrator and mediator, he is known for his insight and holistic approach to Information architecture, user experience and interaction design.

Michael has provided strategic IA and UX solutions for a wide range of notable Canadian organizations, including communications giants Rogers and Bell, the CIBC and RBC, OLG, Enbridge, business and professional services companies Grant Thornton LLP, HKMB Hub, Ceridian and Verity International, as well as leading health organizations and not-for-profits.
