A Conversation With Darren Aronofsky - Koerner Hall

We already told you a little bit about the preparation that went into this event, but now that the event is over we can tell you a little bit more about what we did, and how we did it. We worked with Red Bull Canada and Red Bull Music Academy to understand the requirements of bringing one of their lectures to life. We had the pleasure of working with the team at Koerner Hall to create a beautiful evening. Jacknife design completed the beautiful illustration, program, signage and contributed to set direction for the event to accent both Darren himself, but also the incredible venue. We brought in The Mission Business' Elenna Mosoff to help with the actual event staging, management and venue coordination to bring this together. Saved Ground helped to capture the evening, filming the event, doing post for the teasers, and of course prepping the most important clips for Mr. Aronofsky as well as elements for front of house. Rob King joined in and created a beautiful interactive portrait which was shown in front of house at the post-event reception, Six Degrees provided the auditory magic that they always do. Amy of course ran a tight ship to ensure that the evening went off as smoothly as humanly possible (sometimes we think she's a robot). This was truly a beautiful evening, where Darren Aronofsky shared wisdom, insight and knowledge of his favorite music moments in film. Red Bull Music Academy's co-founder Torsten Schmidt provided context to what RBMA is all about and served as the evening's host. We are thrilled to have been able to capture, produce and partake in this amazing evening, and project. We're grateful to have been able to have a hand in making it happen.

“"I guess almost everyone has experienced that at one stage in their life or another, how your inner and your outer worlds sometimes just don’t correspond." Darren Aronofsky”
